picking up phone multiple tones

Have an Obi100 and 110 configured with my two separate google voice accounts.  whats it mean when i pickup each phone and i hear multiple dial tones, and then it goes solid before being able to dial?  more annoying then anything.  thoughts?  i'm assuming it has something to do with messages waiting???  not sure where though.

found the setting in my google voice configuration via the web.  there appears to be several threads talking it not bein reliable?  is that still true?

You have voicemail messages on GV if that is your provider.
