Question about VMWI and LINE port

I'm new to the forum. I have a question. undertale yellow
I wonder the Obi110 detects message waiting on the LINE port. If so, what would prevent it propagating VMWI to the PHONE port?

There is no VMWI functionality on the LINE port.

Although the Obi110 does not support VMWI on the LINE port, it can still display waiting messages from LINE.
