Just stumbled across this.;

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_10969583-11049883-16

"We have made the tough decision to turn off the AWS (Amazon Web Services) subscription that runs the OBiTALK Consumer Portal Service."

Note the "tough decision" part.

It's just the Web portal, not the service to/for the ATA.
I'll take VoIP any day over cell phones !

You are only 19 days late. https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=20444.0

Other than the portal what service for the ATA do you imagine there is?

Dear Friends,

If I still want to use this device after EOL, what are my options? Do I need to copy any configuration for future reference once the portal is down? Thanks a lot.

I got an email on Monday, 09/23, regarding the shutdown of the portal.

Now I'm trying to get into my device locally and getting a URL error message which is new. May have to reboot it to see if it will come back.

If you have an OBi202, 212 or 302, goto to https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0 and find the few lines about enabling access from the WAN port.

Do NOT reset your OBi to 'factory defaults'.

I am making requests behind the scenes for an extract of the Forum and/or any local configuration programs which would help us store configs locally and deploy to devices.

I don't know if anything will come from it, but let's see.

As in, the db for the SMF instance?

If so, please keep us posted.  And thank you.

I have not heard back so have to assume that there will be no continuation of the forum anywhere and also no app that we can use to perform more automated configurations.

Disappointing but totally expected.  The costs, however small, are coming off some manager's bottom line with no benefit to show for that manager.

Thanks for trying.

I have hosting service and would be willing to offer that to host the forum, but without the data, it would be useless.

The extract from the phones I believe is in XML format, but my programming started with toggle switches and ended in 2000 and it seems programming languages have evolved since then :-)

I did fina a forum at      https://h30434.www3.hp.com       but it lacks our decades of information from our forum here.

Thanks (Mahalo) to all for the help over the years.

See my last minute config saving post in the forum. There is a workaround until they shut down the site.

If you try to go into config for old devices you are restricted. If you change the last part of the URL you can at least see what the config pages are for the devices.

It will look like this where the 0000000 is different for your device

The old url which does not work is
https://www.obitalk.com/obinet/pg/obhdev/config/0000000/basic

change it to be
https://www.obitalk.com/obinet/pg/obhdev/config/0000000/advcfg_STATUS_
